Projects in Progress…

Sandi and I are in the midst of the design process for a small medical office design in Greenwood. We have designed a scheme with a relaxing color palette and natural finishes. The entry way will be a porcelain plank that has a wood texture and the front of the check in/receptionist desk has a stone veneer front accented with a wood laminate. Colors that were used were soft blues, greens, chocolate browns and light neutrals. Drum pendants are planned in the waiting area along with cove lighting details to help heighten the ceiling and add visual interest. I developed a rendered elevation to help the client understand all of the materials being used in the reception. These are quick easy tools to help the client picture what it will really look like.

Another fun project we are working on right now is a restaurant for the Mount Comfort area. This restaurant will be open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One side of the restaurant is dedicated for breakfast while the other side is for lunch and dinner. There will be some fixtures and finishes that will remain constant thru the whole space while some of the colors are tweaked slightly to support the ambiance for that time of day. The breakfast portion of the restaurant will have a bit brighter fun colors where as the other side will be a little more subtle and sophisticated. We’ve also been coordinating the kitchen equipment, furniture and custom cabinetry.
